Bride's Thank You

Weddings

As one of the few churches in Sumner to allow non-members to marry in their facility, we offer a warm welcome to couples in the important process of planning their wedding.We have facilities for both weddings and receptions. Our Victorian-era sanctuary with center aisle seats 180 people, has stained glass windows, and a bell tower complete with a bell to peal at the beginning of your ceremony if you wish.

We have a pipe organ, piano, and sound system which can play recorded music. You may have your own musician if arranged. We have a projector with an installed screen in the sanctuary you are welcome to use.

The Bride and attendants - as well as the Groom and attendants - have separate dressing rooms available at the church.

A receiving line may be arranged in the narthex or outdoors on the steps if you are having your reception elsewhere. If you are having your reception at the church, we have a sound system and can arrange for a small dance area in the fellowship hall. Call or e-mail today to schedule your tour or to receive a more detailed brochure.

Wedding Ceremony Costs: $850 Includes use of the Sanctuary for your service, rehearsal, use of our audio/visual equipment, use of our candelabras, wedding coordinator services (6 hours), and custodial fees. Candles are not provided. If you wish to use candles in your ceremony, you must contact the wedding coordinator as to the policy regarding candles and fire regulations. Additional wedding coordinator time is $150 per hour.

Reception costs: $500 Includes use of Fellowship Hall, kitchen, reception hostess, tables/chairs, sound system, and custodial fees.

Our church organist/pianist is available for weddings: $150 Includes initial meeting with Bride and Groom, rehearsal, and ceremony. Time needed beyond this is billed at $50 per hour.

Our church pastor is available to non-members of our church: $200 Our pastor is available for weddings if the date is available on her schedule. She meets with the bride and groom two times prior to the ceremony. She is open to your ideas about the vows, and other items in the ceremony. If you wish to use another officiate at your ceremony instead of our pastor, please ask for the Officiate Guideline from the wedding coordinator. This guideline provides procedures and information for pastors concerning weddings in our church.

We require a $250 non-refundable deposit to save your date. 50% is due six months prior to the wedding. 100% is due three months prior to the wedding.
